It’s 4:44am and I feel oddly well rested, ready to put a dent on my neverending To Do pile. Maybe that’s the nature of To Do’s, you’re never supposed to run out.
The home router died on us this week, and naturally PLDT is taking their sweet time before coming over to fix it. So, now I’m actually doing this on precious, precious limited mobile data. Why I don’t work on something else that’s more pressing and important, I’ll never know.
In an effort to be more mindful of my spending, I tried not taking Uber one day. All I did was exhaust myself to a slight cough because of the heat and rain and me no longer being used to all the beautiful discomforts of Manila transportation. Ended up spending triple that the next day because of Friday night traffic. Go me!
Clicking nothing worth sharing, I don’t think.
Drinking hot lemon with honey, a.k.a. the cure for all ills.
Eating nothing. It’s 5:04am.
Feeling like I’m on precious time because I’m using mobile data, and bothered because I think my tonsils are inflamed?
Hoping my throat gets over its little bug, and that I get the presence of mind to work on stuff I need to work on. Ideally in the next 30 minutes.
Listening to the same old things.
Loving the way my dogs wait for me at the foot of the stairs as I walk down, like I’m some princess. Lol. Dogs are the best, aren’t they?
Needing to work? Even though it’s 4:53 on a long weekend Sunday? #FreelanceLyf
Planning to sleep again after this. Lol.
Reading nothing. I don’t even have the focus to finish long form articles these days.
Thinking I should be better at living mindfully and making note of what’s been going on with me in the last week, so I actually have something to share in this weekly ‘check up’.
Wanting to go back to sleep now. My sleepiness has caught up with me. Also, for there to be internet!
I saw my first Cirque Du Soleil show! I didn’t know what I was expecting. Lol. Of course it wasn’t bad, it was actually very, very, very good for what it is. But what it is, is generally not something I’m super into. I think I enjoyed it better because I watched Avatar hours earlier so the world was still fresh for me.
I also realized I never watched Avatar through, because I remember nearly none of it. Awesome, epic movie though the story leaves me wanting. Kind of like Toruk, actually! Maybe that’s the thing: something can be really, really good at one thing, but not really, really good at everything?
Wearing a nude tank top and shorts so tatty, it will serve the world better as a rag.
Wishing I have one of those fidget spinners. Maybe that will get me in the working mood?
Writing plenty. Oh boy!
(Photo is the last scene of Cirque Du Soleil’s “Toruk”, blurry because my ancient phone is The Worst™.)
